Shoppers have several options with a few malls in the area, including Aspen Landing Shopping Centre.
One of the big benefits of Aspen Woods’ location is the easy access to downtown via Bow Trail. It is easy to get west to the Rockies too. Once the southwest leg of the proposed ring road is finished, it will be even quicker to get around the city. The community is at the end of the west C-Train line, with the closest stop being the 69th Street station.
Home prices in Aspen Woods have steadily increased year over year according to Calgary Real Estate Board figures, and that has put buying here out of the range of the average citizen. For those who can afford it though, there is more development coming and more opportunities to find the luxury home of your dreams.
Aspen Woods is home to some of Calgary's highest growth in resale value and house prices. In February 2013, the record sale price for a single-family house in Calgary was set with the purchase of a $10.35 million home in the neighbourhood. There are two private schools in the area and it is close to a number of private clubs and golf courses.
The office and shopping complex on the south side of Aspen Woods is based on a village concept designed to provide a more intimate, charming atmosphere while shoppers browse its boutiques, cafes, and restaurants.
