There's always something going on, whether it's daytime shopping or some nightlife.

Living downtown has its ups and downs. The nightlife crowd can be a bit busy for someone who isn’t a city person, and there are some less-than-desirable pockets of homes, but the main strip is always clean and offers a great selection of shopping. It's always a bit of a mix when it comes to urban living.
Living in this area of downtown Hamilton is relatively affordable when compared to the cost of living in other big cities, which is attracting young professionals and families here from other places. There is a lot to do that won't break the budget of most residents, though you can be lured into one too many nights out – and that can get expensive!
