It is relatively easy to travel in and around Red Hill. The are is serviced by Hamilton transit buses and residents also have access to the Red Hill Valley Parkway at Greenhill Avenue. The Parkway was built in 2007 and runs north-south for eight kilometers, connecting with the Queen Elizabeth Parkway and the Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway.

The Red Hill Valley Parkway has been a controversial development in the Red Hill community. West-end homes that border the Parkway have expressed some concern over noise and pollution. It’s important to remember that Red Hill is a residential neighbourhood. Most of Red Hill is dedicated to housing and basic amenities.

Red Hill is an affordable option for home buyers. With lots of detached options in the $300,000 range, Red Hill is a popular neighbourhood for young families and couples who are purchasing their first homes.
