Inglewood is a mostly pedestrian neighbourhood although 9th Avenue SE is extremely traffic-heavy during the day. It is bike-friendly thanks to it’s quick access to the City of Calgary bike pathways. Public transit comes through the area frequently although the closest C-Train stops are in the East Village and in Bridgeland.
Inglewood is flush with amenities and necessities from large parks and cyclist/pedestrian pathways to close access to downtown Calgary. The Colonel Walker Community school is centrally located in Inglewood just off of 9th Avenue where children K-6 can attend public school. Families can also take advantage of the neighbouring Bird Sanctuary and Nature Habitat as well as the Bow Habitat Station Fish Hatchery.
Inglewood is a fun and vibrant neighbourhood that welcomes residents and business owners with open arms. The neighbourhood’s close proximity to the railway and rail yards could be perceived as a negative to some, however many residents say it doesn’t bother them. Overall, this is a great spot to make a home.
