Introduction
Kleinburg sits on a narrow patch of land tucked between two branches of the Humber River. The “old town” village is bordered by Hwy. 27 on the west and Stegman’s Mill Road on the east. Kleinburg was named either after its former owner, John N. Kline, or the name is a direct (and well-suited) translation from German, literally meaning "small mountain."

Kleinburg is easily accessed via Hwy. 27 and Islington Avenue. But if you prefer to let someone else do the driving for you, GO Transit stops in the centre of town at Islington and Nashville, as well as York Region Transit/VIVA. Of course, walking through this intimate community is always a viable option!
