Three major highways run through Lachenaie, the 640, the 25 and the 40. The AMT offers a commuter train line into Montreal, with a stop along the 640 in Lachenaie. There are municipal buses to take you throughout the city of Terrebonne, as well as a few lines that will head in to Laval or Montreal.
Lachenaie offers plenty of newer housing built within the last ten years, and it’s a neighbourhood that is constantly being developed. There are many parks and green spaces, as well as a long waterfront section. On the flip side, the commute to the city can be lengthy, especially in rush hour traffic. Some residents have reported a smell coming from the nearby landfill.
Lachenaie is an area that has seen many transformations over the last decade. The area is known for its quality for the price.
