The parks and green space make Bathurst Manor attractive, as does the easy access to TTC. However, shopping tends to cluster along Sheppard, which can make things awkward for residents who live farther north and don’t have cars. The area is also a quiet one, so people looking for a lively nightlife need to travel to other areas of the city to find it.
Bathurst Manor is a moderately priced neighbourhood – it is not too expensive, but it is not especially cheap either. There are some kosher restaurants and shops in the area, and prices there tend to be a bit on the higher side, but no more so than kosher food in general.
With plenty of trails, picnic areas, sports fields, and a riding stable that hosts the Community Association of Riding for the Disabled, G. Ross Lord Park is a favourite among area residents.
