Marz Homes recently introduced Beach Walk at Crystal Beach, which is an extension of its previously developed South Coast Village community. This iconic location has long been a go-to destination for residents of Ontario. With white sands beaches, residents will enjoy a carefree, island mindset where time doesn’t really matter.

For many, living by the water has always been a lifelong dream. In addition to the lakeside allure, a charming village features boutiques, shops, art galleries, pubs and restaurants. And, don’t forget to grab an ice cream during the warmer months to add to your new strolling routine. Shedding the urban cloak just makes sense at a certain time of life.

Crystal Beach flashback

Crystal Beach was named for the crystal-clear water conditions when it was founded on the northeast shore of Lake Erie. For 100 years, Crystal Beach Park was an amusement park that occupied the waterfront land from 1888 to 1989. Boat services shuttled visitors back and forth from Buffalo to this popular resort town.

For carnival enthusiasts, the Figure 8 was the park’s first roller coaster, which operated from 1905 to 1915, followed by the Backety-Back Scenic Railway (1909 to 1926) and the Giant Coaster that began operation in 1916.

The Crystal Ballroom was constructed during the winter of 1924, where the likes of Count Bassie, Frank Sinatra, Jelly Roll Morton and the Glenn Miller Orchestra performed.

A good portion of Ontario’s population have fond memories of this area, and it’s now been rejuvenated with a respectful salutation to what it once was.

Walk the talk

Priced much lower than a home in and around the GTA, homes at Beach Walk start from the $600,000s for a two- to four-bedroom layout, ranging from 1,272 to 2,689 sq. ft. “We’ve thoughtfully designed every aspect of our upcoming Beach Walk community with the homeowner in mind,” says Tyler Running, marketing coordinator for Marz Homes. “Beach Walk will provide an unprecedented opportunity to live within a prime beachside neighbourhood, offering a variety of coastal-inspired bungalows, bungalofts and two-storey single-family homes.”

Where the living is easy

Beach Walk will tastefully complement the existing homes in South Coast Village. Exterior facades reflect an air of natural whimsy with the use of shakes and batten board, accentuated with heritage stone. Architectural aesthetics and coastal colours add to the overall atmosphere of the community.

Inside, thoughtful floorplans are well-designed for everyday living. Large windows, as well as generous Great Room, dining and kitchen areas, enhance a spacious interior composition. Nine-ft. ceilings are standard, as are granite countertops in the kitchen. Tastefully tailor individual cooking spaces with added elements such as islands, upgraded cabinetry with designer hardware and optional pantries – as per plan.

The primary focus of the main bedroom is to encourage rest, privacy, comfort and contemplation. With walk-in closets and individually styled ensuites, each personal haven will appeal to discrete sensibilities. Some homes include deep, soaker tubs with upmarket-mounted faucets, oversized walk-in showers with glass doors, and vanities with quartz countertops and undermount sinks.

Each new home purchaser has the opportunity to work with an in-house design professional who will help to streamline the selection process. To ensure that each home reflects the homeowner’s style, every detail will be reviewed and approved by the homeowner – inside and out. Homeowners are given the opportunity to pick from a variety of selections to suit their taste and home needs.

The community consists of bungalow and bungaloft home styles that are tailored for those looking for one-floor living. You will also find large spacious lots providing the homeowner with ample outdoor living space. If you are looking to scale up your home, you will find several two-storey home options for all types of families and living arrangements.

The making of a community

For more than 40 years, Marz Homes has been developing and building neighbourhoods that not only reflect the preferences of the eventual homeowners, but also enhance and respect the natural surroundings.

With a focus on areas outside of the GTA, such as Hamilton and Niagara, the principals of Marz Homes have a unique ability to hone in on pristine areas that have the potential to become desirable locations.

Character-filled homes are designed to accentuate the surrounding environment and promote a sense of community. Ultimately, it’s the attentive service that each new-home purchaser benefits from. Not only has Marz Homes been recognized for award-winning customer service, but its loyalty is also reflected in its long-standing trade partnerships – and the company’s commitment to giving back to the communities through the Marz Homes Care Foundation.

A lifestyle like no other

Centrally located within the town of Crystal Beach, access to local amenities is a breeze. A little further afield, trails, parks and vineyards are within reach. “Beach Walk offers aspects of new-home living that most communities simply cannot,” says Running. “With easy walking accessibility to the beach, local shops and dining options, there are very few developments in the Golden Horseshoe that offers this kind of lifestyle and home options, at a truly affordable price.”

For those who are looking for a picture-perfect setting by the water, in an established community, Beach Walk checks all the boxes on any lakeside wishlist.
