Midfield Heights bringing the hype to the NE Inner City

Calgary’s ever-evolving inner city real estate scene has a lot to look forward to with an increasing number of buyers beyond just luxury infills. Multi-family buyers are being given the grand opportunity to live centrally without breaking the bank through a handful of new and exciting multi-family projects underway.

Midfield Heights in particular has piqued the interest of many potential homebuyers. The new community will feature a blend of office, retail and residential spaces where the Midfield Mobile Home Park used to be, east of Winston Heights/Mountview, North of Renfrew and just west of Deerfoot Trail on the Trans-Canada Highway.

Here’s all you need to know about this exciting up-and-coming community in Calgary’s northeast inner-city area.

Midfield Heights Quick Facts

• Will feature a total of up to around 1,500 residential units
• Multi-family condo and townhome residences
• Ground-level retail spaces and parking
• New dedicated green spaces, parks and pathways
• Pop-up markets to be held in green spaces
• Near future Orange BRT Station and new Calgary Green LRT Line

We can expect to see a variety of low-to-mid-rise condo builds and two- to three-bedroom townhouses in Midfield Heights. Townhomes along the ridge of the plateau where the community sits will likely be larger in size and have city views to the north and east, while the condo buildings will be found mostly on the west and south corner.

Midfield Height residents will enjoy excellent access to outdoor parks and recreation via the paved pathway systems that exist in the adjacent communities. There is also a bike path that runs along Deerfoot Trail which leads south to the Calgary Zoo, Inglewood, East Village, Downtown, Chinatown, and Bow River pathways – all reachable within a short walk, or an even quicker bike ride or roller skate.

Pet lovers will enjoy indulging in the ample green spaces nearby when living in Midfield Heights, easily accessible via countless kilometres of paved pathways heading in all directions!

Pre-Construction Sales

Midfield Heights is currently undergoing initial development work. Expect to see marketing and sales content emerge sometime in 2024, with actual above-ground construction beginning in 2025.

With the number of units to be built in the area – at anywhere from 1,000 to more than 1,500 – expect to see construction happening in the area for several years. It will likely take more than 10 years to complete the area, a similar timeline to the East Village community in downtown.
