On March 22, the Canadian Home Builders’ Association of British Columbia (CHBA BC) celebrated the best in residential construction at the 33rd annual Georgie Awards. Held at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver, with a whimsical Dr. Seuss-inspired theme, the gala honoured the achievements of B.C.’s builders, renovators and designers.
"Despite economic and regulatory challenges, these builders, renovators and designers have demonstrated resilience and ingenuity, delivering projects that elevate B.C.’s residential landscape,” said Neil Moody, CEO of CHBA BC. “Their achievements highlight CHBA BC members’ commitment to quality and innovation, which defines our industry."
Miracon’s Mirada Estates shine
Miracon continued its winning streak with its “Founder Series” at Mirada Estates in Langley, earning three awards, including the Grand Georgies for Single-Family Production Home, Builder of the Year and Community of the Year. This exclusive collection of homes, featuring distinctive architecture and artisan-inspired interiors, showcases Miracon’s dedication to high-quality craftsmanship.
Zenterra Developments lead in multi-family innovation
Zenterra Developments was named Multi-Family Home Builder of the Year. The company balances affordability and sustainability, integrating AI and digitized operations to streamline processes. Beyond homebuilding, Zenterra supports local charities, school meal programs and tree-planting initiatives, reinforcing its commitment to community and environmental responsibility.
The art of transformation: My House Design/Build/Team
With four awards, including Renovator of the Year, My House Design/Build/Team reaffirmed its leadership in home transformations. The company’s team of designers, builders and artisans takes a collaborative approach, ensuring seamless renovations—whether a simple refresh, a restoration, or a fully custom home. Their in-house expertise and client-first focus have built a trusted reputation in the industry.
Twin Lions Contracting’s sustainable success
North Vancouver’s Twin Lions Contracting had a night to remember, winning six Georgie Awards, including Custom Home Builder of the Year. A leader in sustainable homebuilding, Twin Lions specializes in Net-Zero and Net-Zero-Ready construction, utilizing innovative building science and off-site panelized construction. The company is also known for its investment in workforce development, offering apprenticeship programs, mentorship and CHBA BC-endorsed training initiatives.
Beyond the brochure: Concord Pacific’s Greenhouse sales centre stands out
Project sales were not overlooked at this year’s awards, as Concord Pacific’s Greenhouse sales centre won Best Sales Centre. The immersive 360-degree theatre offers a unique experience that allows clients to visualize and connect with their future home in a way that goes beyond traditional sales presentations. This interactive experience brings the project to life, fostering a strong emotional connection.
With the 2025 awards complete, CHBA BC is already preparing for next year’s event and will be inviting members to submit their best projects for consideration this summer.
