Searching for an apartment can be hectic, and it's easy to overlook a few key things when visiting units. Once you think you’ve found the perfect place, run through this rental checklist to avoid surprises once you make the big move.

In most cases, your future landlord will be able to accommodate your requests and write any necessary improvements into your lease agreement. If your requests cannot be accommodated, then you can easily walk away knowing that you’ve avoided potential issues. Happy hunting!
