Ottawa is a diverse market. Like most cities, the closer you get downtown, the higher the price tags. The most expensive home sold in Ottawa in 2014 was in Manotick, with a sticker price of $3.25 million. And yet, this pricey neighbourhood didn’t make our top three.Here are the top three most expensive areas to own or rent in Ottawa: 
The Glebe
The Glebe: As Ottawa’s original suburb, this area offers early 20th Century homes with an average price of $690k. Renters will pay roughly $1,500 a month.
