What does your yard design say about you?
April 21, 2016
As with your home’s interior design, the layout, maintenance, and colours in your yard design provide insight into your personality: are you outgoing or do you prefer solitude? Are you super-organized or do you let parts of your life take their own course? Are you a romantic or are you practical, or maybe a bit of both? Read on for a look at what your yard or balcony garden style says about you.
What your garden's colours say about you

You can get creative in ways that aren’t possible indoors, as the effects of a garden are seasonal so you can experiment out of your comfort zone without permanent repercussions.
If you are inclined towards whites, this shows a desire for purity, a clean slate and peace. On the other hand, yellow in all its shades hints at optimism and friendliness. Reds and oranges show that you like to make a statement, as these colours demand engagement. Blues and purples symbolize serenity, trust, wisdom, and nobility.
What your garden's design say about you
A lush, overgrown yard shows that you could have a romantic streak. You like life — or at least your garden — to take its own mysterious course from time to time. If, on the other hand, you could set your watch by when your rose bushes are pruned and the flowerbeds don’t have a hint of a weed in them, you likely have an appreciation of order and structure.
And what if your yard is a combination of the two? We’ll leave you to figure that one out!
What your garden says about your attitude towards life
Whatever your take on life at any given moment, you can bet that it all comes out in your yard. No matter the design, if your yard is lush and abundant with healthy plants and flowers, it is probably an indication of how you take care of the rest of your life. Looking after a yard takes patience and attention to detail.
A yard that is worn around the edges, with dead plants or shrubs taking over your patio furniture, could likely show that you’re preoccupied with other matters or simply don’t have enough time to look after the garden.
Take a look at your yard through fresh eyes and you may discover something unexpected about yourself amongst the flowers and the yard features.
