The ‘vroom’ service is a direct shuttle bus to West Edmonton mall, the largest mall in North America.

Shopping spots mainly include Edmonton City Centre Mall, and boutique shops along 104 Street and Jasper Ave. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants throughout the city, especially on 103 Street.

Although there is a lot of excitement about the new developments, there is some concern about an increase in traffic. There is also a perception that Downtown Edmonton is unsafe, due to crime levels in areas such as Chinatown and McCauley, which are higher than in other cities, including Vancouver and Toronto.
