Hello-Goodbye 2020

New Home + Condo Guide media consultant Julie DeBoer with Cheryl Rice, president of PMA Brethour Realty Group Ottawa.

It was a full house at the Hello-Goodbye 2020 Ottawa Housing Market Outlook held at the Infinity Convention Centre on Jan. 22. Builders, sales people and industry partners gathered for a breakfast buffet to listen to industry experts, including Cheryl Rice, president of PMA Brethour Realty Group’s Ottawa Division, who provided her insight into what is ahead for the Ottawa housing market, as well as a recap of the market in 2019. Other speakers included Bonnie Peterson, account manager at Genworth Canada, who spoke about what the needs of the average new-home buyer are and the type of properties these homebuyers are looking for, and Peter Comyns, vice-president of sales and the national director of education for PMA Brethour Realty. Comyns discussed how industry professionals can be more successful by identifying a customer’s personality type, their distinctive qualities and characteristics and how it will help to accommodate to their needs.

Going, going, gone

Eq Homes had a limited release of its Parkside Towns in Pathways at Findlay Creek on Sat. Jan. 18. In spite of the minus 20-degree Celsius temperatures, at least one person began waiting at midnight for the doors to open at noon. All eight lots were purchased, a good reminder that these days, if you’re interested in a new home, it’s best to show up early for a limited lot release.

Don’t miss out on the next lot release on Feb 1 when eQ Homes releases a select group of single-family lots in Phase 4 at eQuinelle. Doors open at 10 a.m. at 74 Equinelle Drive, Kemptville. For more information, contact Marissa Tessarolo, mtessarolo@eqhomes.ca eqhomes.ca
