A sold-out weekend

It was a very ‘Canadian’ release on the weekend of Feb. 1 at Cardel Homes’ Miller’s Crossing in Carlton Place, and Blackstone in Barrhaven. Excitement was high, with two couples camping out Thursday night at Miller’s Crossing to be the first in line to grab one of the four lots released in Carleton Place. Both lot releases sold out.

Around 200 people showed up recently for the lottery at Minto’s Arcadia and all lots were sold. Minto’s next release of townhomes and terrace homes is Sat. Feb. 15 at Avalon Encore, 2370 Tenth Line Road. To learn more, go to minto.com

First in line at eQuinelle

You must really know what you want when you travel from Florida to get in line early to have first dibs on a favoured lot. And that’s what one lady accomplished Feb. 1 at the single-family-home lot release at eQ Homes’ eQuinelle, 74 eQuinelle Drive in Kemptville. Singles start in the $400s, and the Feb. 1 release included new home designs that were released a week earlier, including the Piper, the Willow and the Oliver.

Claridge Homes lot releases

It was busy Feb. 1 at Claridge Homes’ Bridlewood Trails. Cars lined up around the block and all 32 lots sold by the end of weekend. Meanwhile, on Sat. Feb. 8, doors opened at noon at Sundance Village for a release of townhomes and semi-detached lots to launch Phase 4. Representatives from RBC were on hand with coffee and doughnuts to help with mortgage-related questions. And in Spring Valley Trails, four blocks of townhomes were released in Phase 6.
