A gala event
The 31st annual Georgie Awards Gala, hosted by the Canadian Home Builders’ Association of BC (CHBA BC), was held on May 20 to recognize B.C.’s builders, renovators and interior designers. Approximately 650 people attended the sold-out event, where nearly 50 awards for B.C.’s best custom home builders, renovators and real estate companies were handed out. Keep an eye out for the June 10 issue of New Home + Condo Guide, where we’ll have a special feature detailing all the specifics of the gala evening — including the winners.

An agri-based community
Century City Surrey on Holland Park is a mixed-use community that combines residential, commercial, and recreational spaces in a sustainable, Agri-based community. “The Century City project embraces food and agriculture as a social activator for people who will live and work at Century City,” says Bob Ransford, vice-president of development with Century Group. “From our Market Food Hall and Central Bar to our orchard, which will grow four apple varietals, Century Group is a community built around good food.” The first building, a 248-unit rental tower completes at the end this year. Once built-out, Century City Holland Park will feature slightly more than 1,000 homes. For more information, visit centurycitysurrey.com.
